Sagar Sawant

Founder & CEO

After years of working for large consulting firms, Sagar Sawant saw a fundamental flaw in the way IT projects were executed—many ran over budget, missed deadlines, or failed to deliver real impact. Determined to change that, he founded Cyquent in 2001 with a clear mission: to prioritize execution, accountability, and meaningful outcomes. A defining moment in Cyquent’s journey was helping Arlington County modernize its case management system in just 10 months—after a previous vendor spent nearly two years without even documenting the existing system. Today, Cyquent has grown into a $40 million company with 250 employees, serving clients across multiple states. Its solutions power thousands of daily users, helping them improve outcomes for those who rely on state and county programs. For over two decades, Cyquent has partnered with state and county agencies to modernize case management systems, streamlining processes, increasing efficiency, and enabling faster benefit delivery. Now, the company is looking ahead to the future of AI in transforming case management. By leveraging decades of structured and unstructured data, AI-driven insights will help workers identify needs more accurately, address service gaps, and make data-informed decisions in real time. Cyquent has helped a number of commercial clients as well in streamlining and modernizing their Data Management and empowered them to achieve data driven decisions and grow their businesses. Sagar envisions a new era where technology not only enhances efficiency but also drives smarter, more proactive service delivery—revolutionizing how agencies support vulnerable populations.
